Praying the Psalms

The Book of Psalms is a collection of prayers, hymns spoken by people throughout ages to the God of Israel. Sacred scripture, the psalms have been prayed daily for thousands of years. This site aims to make the psalms accessible, with commentary and interpretation, directed at letting the psalms themselves and the spirit of God work their way with the reader, the pray-er, the seeker. There is also a focus on the psalms used in Sunday Christian worship in the Revised Common Lectionary.
